 The Seal of the Abbey of Cwmhir and The Sign of the Happy Union Inn- Symbol of Welsh Identity? by Roger Coward (Editor of the Abbeycwmhir Book) 19.30 hrs. Philip's Hall, Abbeycwmhir.See below.

May 19th           (Sat)

 

Annual Excursion to the Granges of Cwmhir Abbey in Eastern Powys starting from Clyro. See below.

July 22nd        (Sat)

Annual Pilgrimage. Strata Florida to Abbeycwmhir. Leaving Abbeycwmhir at 07.30 a coach takes us to Strata Florida Abbey in Ceredigion where the Pilgrimage starts at 09.00 hrs. The walk is approximately 25 miles long and the country is rough grassland for the most part and is not suitable for beginners. Finish time is usually about 6pm at The Philips Hall, Abbeycwmhir.(cf Walks).

All these events, except for the Excursion and the Abbey of Cwmhir Study Group, start from or are held in Abbey Cwmhir with parking at the Phillips Hall or the Home Farm by permission of Mr and Mrs Hamer.

Access to the ruins is open, free, all the year, with permissive entry through Home Farm and free parking in tarmacked carpark near CADW's information centre.
